DF96 Monobath

Compatible with Most Black and White Film Types

The Cinestill DF96 is a monobath, a self-completing chemistry that is suitable for use with most black and white film type. This all-in-one, single-step solution can fully process film in about three minutes, requires no dilution, and is reusable for developing minimum of 16 rolls of film per litre. Akin to the D96 developer, DF96 yields a smooth grain structure and tonal curve. However, unlike the D96, the DF96 does not require subsequent fixer or stop bath; it features fixing capabilities that renders fully archival results. Longer overall processing times will not affect development. Designed to be used at room temperature between 21°C to  26“C, DF96 take between six to three minutes to develop for normal results with most films. Push and pull development is possible via temperature adjustment. Tabular grain films, such as T-Max and Delta, will require twice the processing time to remove the film's stain during fixing. This 1L of liquid monobath has a shelf life of approximately one year.
