The Olympus ED 8-25mm f/4 PRO is an ultra-wide zoom Lens that offers an equivalent full-frame format zoom range of 16-50mm for the Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Its relatively bright design, which is characterised by a f/4 constant maximum aperture, enables working in dimmer conditions as well as affords selective focus control throughout the zoom range. Optically, the lens integrates a myriad of specialised elements that contributes to overall image sharpness, clarity, and colour accuracy throughout the zoom range: two aspherical ED elements, one DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) element, one ED (extra-low dispersion) element, one Super ED element, one Super HR (high refractive index) element, one HR element, and one HD element. Additionally, the individual elements are applied with a ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating to minimise lens flare and ghosting, which improves contrast and colour fidelity when working in harsh and backlit conditions. A Movie and Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system complements the optics with fast, smooth , and silent performance, benefitting both photo and video applications. A manual focus clutch permits fast adjustment of the focusing ring for direct, intuitive focus control while a programmable L-FN (lens function) button allows for easy accessible settings adjustment. Dust-, freeze-, and drip-proof, this weather-sealed lens performs even in inclement and harsh conditions.
