The Voigtlander APO-SKOPAR 90mm f/2.8 SL II S lens is a Nikon AIS
F-mount manual focus medium telephoto lens optimised for full-frame
image sensors. Sporting a new designed optical system, this lens uses abnormal partial dispersion glass for five out of seven elements in seven groups to provide images that are enriched, are sharp and display a three-dimensional character. In addition, its apochromatic design reduces axial chromatic aberration down to almost zero.
This manual focus lens has a precision helicoid for smooth, precise focusing action and is designed for use with SLR-type digital and film cameras. The SL II S is compatible with Nikon AIS-type bodies with a built-in CPU.
As it is equipped with an AI coupler, this lens can be used with a
variety of bodies that ranges from classic film SLR cameras to the
latest digital SLR cameras. It features 9 diaphragm blades that provides a creamy bokeh that is especially complementary for its portraiture-suited 90mm focal length.
Constructed with highly rigid and full-metal lens barrel for durability, this lens design also incorporates metallic focus and aperture rings,
featuring heavy finger indents with precise machine knurling that
improve ergonomics as well provides a beautiful appearance reminiscent
of vintage lens. A front cap and rear cap are also supplied with the
lens while the dedicated LH-90IIs lens hood is separately available.
