The Voigtlander 50mm f/2 APO-Lanthar Aspherical Lens for Leica M-Mount cameras is an apochromatic prime lens designed to produce high quality imagery of impressive resolution and contrast, thanks to its much better correction of various aberrations. The lens features a normal perspective combined with a bright f/2 maximum aperture to benefit working in low-light conditions. Optically, this rangefinder prime is constructed of 10 elements in 8 groups that includes two abnormally dispersed glass and 2 double-sided apsherical lenses, alongside a floating mechanism. Compact and lightweight, this ideal everyday lens also features reduced vignetting. Its 12-bladed diaphragm is specially shaped, allowing you to achieve wonderfully circular bokeh not now in the f/2 aperture, but also at all the way closed down to f/5.6. An all-metal helicoid unit, this manual prime has been carefully tuned and adjusted to produce an appropriate torque for smooth, delicate and precise focusing and adjustment. In addition, this lens is equipped with a high-precision distance meter interlocking system that enables focusing near the maximum aperture. Adding to its versatility, this M-mount lens also performs well when attached to a mirrorless digital camera via an optional mount adapter.
