The Voigtlander 50mm f/1.5 Heliar Classic Lens is a Leica M-mount normal-length prime designed to deliver a vintage image quality. Its six-elements-in-three-groups vintage Heliar optical design provides a classic image quality characterised by slightly muted colour reproduction and slightly soft renditions. Ideal for street, portrait, and reportage photography, this versatile manual prime features a bright and fast f1/5 maximum aperture to enable better depth of field control for selective focus techniques as well as to benefit working in dimmer conditions. Its manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 50cm away. A 10-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. This durable all-metal barrel is complemented by a metal focus ring that is machined with a classic diamond pattern. Aside for the aesthetics, the engraved cross hatch pattern also improves operability during use.
