Designed for the Sony E-mount mirrorless camera, this Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical lens is an impressively wide prime featuring a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture that benefits working in dimmer conditions and enhances depth of field control. For high imaging performance, its advance optical design incorporates two aspherical and three partial dispersion elements that suppress aberrations, both spherical and chromatic, to improve sharpness, clarity, and colour accuracy and rendering. A floating elements system is further employed to maintain image quality consistently across the focusing range, whether you are shooting close-up subjects or distant ones. Close ups at a minimum focusing distance of 25cm is possible with the lenss manual design which enables smooth and greater control. When working with shallow depth of field techniques, its 12-blade diaphragm contributes a pleasing out-of-focus quality. Video recording is benefitted by the Selective Aperture Control System that permits de-clicking of the manual aperture for smooth and quiet exposure adjustment. Contacts support full Exif data transfer between camera and lens, enabling use of all the camera functions, such as image stablisation, focus magnification and lens corrections. The Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical has a front filter thread for a 62mm filter and is also suitable for APS-C models where is provides an equivalent focal length of 31.5mm.
