Weighing less than 1.3kg, the Peak Design Carbon Travel Tripod is a beautifully designed lightweight carbon fiber tripod that boasts a load capacity of over 9kg. This innovative support features legs that can be stored into closer together, thus reducing the folded volume as well as folded length to just under 40cm and improving portability. It also provides a versatile working height range from 14 to 152.4cm. Flip locks on the five-section legs mean the option of independent spread on uneven terrain and easy single-handed height adjustment of each individual leg; in the event where fast deployment is required, the aluminium leg cams can be released at the same time and ground-level shots can be captured quickly by simply reversing the center column. Extending the ergonomic design to the ball head on this travel tripod, space-saving locking and adjustment rings replace more traditional knobs and levers. The rings facilitate omnidirectional movements that can be locked in place with a simple twist. The ball head also features a quick release system that is compatible with Peak Design standard plates and most Arca-type plates. Optional Arca-type L-brackets can be attached by removing the safety pin inside the clamp, while a hook under the center column can be used for attaching a stabilising weight. A handsome fabric storage case, a phone mount, 2.5mm and 4 mm hex wrenches, and a bushing removal tool are included with this travel tripod. Adding versatility, the lightweight tripod and phone mount can be used together as a selfie stick.
