The Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE is a compact prime lens designed to provide full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras with a wide 24mm perspective, as well as a 35mm equivalent focal length when used on an APS-C camera body. A bright f/1.8 maximum aperture support working in dimmer conditions and offers better control over depth of field during selective focus applications. A minimum focus distance of 19mm allows you to get up close and personal with your subject for close-up shots. Optically, this lens is constructed with 11 elements in 8 groups, which comprise of two extra-low dispersion elements, two aspherical elements, and three high refractive index elements that work together to control aberrations and distortions for improved sharpness and clarity. in addition, an Ultra Multi-Coating is applied to all lens elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting, increasing both contrast and colour accuracy in the captured imagery. A linear STM autofocus motor and internal focus design complements the optics with fast, quiet focus and the maintanence of the overall length of the lens when in use. A customisable focus-hold button enables the locking of a specific point while in autofocus mode. Additionally, the AF 24mm f/1.8 lens features an "Astrophotography Mode", which will autoset the lens focusing mode to manual (MF), adjust and lock the lens to infinity focus, and the Infinity Focus Confirmation LED green light will lit up. Furthermore, should the lens move from infinity focus, the LED will turn red to inform you that the lens is no longer focused on infinity for night sky images. This weather-sealed lens is designed with a rounded nine-blade diaphragm that contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality when using selective focus or shallow depth of field techniques. A non-rotating 58mm front filter mount permits the use of polarising, graduated ND and other filter types that requires precise positioning. The lens comes supplied with front and rear lens caps.
