Designed for use with DX-format cameras and offering a field of view similar to 50mm on an FX sensor, the AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX lens from Nikon provides an undistorted angle of view that is similar to what the human eye perceives. The large f/1.8 maximum aperture lets in plenty of light for shooting in dim conditions, and in combination with a 7-blade diaphragm it creates smooth out of focus backgrounds.

The optical design uses an aspherical element and Super Integrated Coating (SIC) to reduce distortions, aberrations and lens flare, ensuring optimum image quality. For focusing, Nikon's Silent Wave Motor makes quick and quiet work of focus acquisition. It also features manual focus override for precise focusing control, and it can focus as close as 30cm to your subjects.
