One of the most acclaimed lenses in the Canon EF line, the 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM lens offers superior performance, increased speed and optical quality. The optical construction uses 23 elements in 19 groups, including one fluorite and five ultra-low dispersion elements, which help deliver sharp, aberration-free images. This is complimented by an IS II Optical Image Stabiliser to provide up to 4 stops of correction. Two Image Stabilisation modes are available; Mode 1 corrects for still images and Mode 2 for panning with a moving subject.  An ultrasonic focusing motor provides fast, smooth and silent autofocus action. Manual focus override is also available and provides precise manual focus control even when in autofocus mode. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 3.9' (1.2 m) at all zoom settings and like all Canon L-series lenses it is dust- and moisture-resistant for peace of mind when working in challenging environments. A focus range limiter lets you set the range of focus distance which enables shorter focusing times. The two ranges are 1.2 m to infinity and 2.5 m to infinity.
