The Nikon F-mount 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM from Sigma is a fast
normal-length prime ideal for capturing sharp images with accurate
colour and smooth bokeh. As part of the Art line within Sigma's Global
Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve truly notable optical
performance and is ideally suited for creative and artistic
applications. Optically, three Special Low Dispersion glass elements and one molded
glass aspherical element work to reduce chromatic aberrations, while the
lens' large diameter and floating system help to correct vignetting. A
Super Multi Coating has been applied to lens elements to reduce
flare and ghosting for improved contrast and accurate colour. This is
complimented by a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture and a rounded
nine-blade diaphragm that make it a great choice for working with
shallow depth of field and in low light situations. The lens uses an integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) for quick,
smooth, and quiet autofocus performance with full-time manual focus
override. Alongside this, the lens is constructed using a Thermally
Stable Composite material for durability, and a brass bayonet mount also
offers rigidity and mounting precision. Additionally, rubber sealing
is incorporated in the mount design to render it dust- and
