A versatile zoom lens covering wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives, the Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens from Sony is well suited to capturing everything from landscapes to portraits. Though designed for use with Sonys full-frame E-mount cameras, it can also be used on APS-C format cameras where it will provide a 36-105mm equivalent zoom range. Its constant f/4 maximum aperture ensures consistent performance throughout the zoom range. Optically the lens uses one extra-low dispersion element and five aspherical elements to reduce aberrations and a Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating combats flare and ghosting. A linear autofocus motor and an internal focus design ensures focusing is smooth and fast, and a seven-blade circular diaphragm produces smooth bokeh. The lens is also dust and moisture resistant and built in OS Optical Steadyshot image stabilisation allows for clear and blur-free images when shooting in challenging low-light environments.
