The RF 85mm f/1.2L USM from Canon is a large aperture mid-telephoto prime lens, ideal for professional wedding and portrait photographers shooting on EOS R system full-frame mirrorless cameras. With its large f/1.2 aperture, it produces attractive out of focus areas and brings your subject into sharp focus. The lens also features a front lens control ring that provides customised control over the aperture, shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation for intuitive shooting. Optically, the RF 85mm f/1.2L USM achieves high resolving power with a large diameter mount and short back focus. A Blue Spectrum Refrative Optics element is used to nearly eliminate chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, while an ultra-low dispersion element and one aspherical element further reduce aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness. These individual elements also feature an Air Sphere Coating to combat flare and ghosting. A rounded 9-blade diaphragm helps to produce attractive out of focus areas. This is complimented by a ring-type Ultrasonic Motor that ensures autofocus is fast and quiet, with full-time manual focus override. It features a minimum focusing distance of 85cm. As a member of Canons L-series it is finished with a dust and water resistant construction. It also comes with an ET-89 lens hood.
