Designed for APS-C format Fujifilm X-mount cameras, the Fujifilm XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR prime lens features a portrait length 76mm equivalent focal length. It is characterised by a uniquely bright f/1.0 maximum aperture to suit working in difficult lighting conditions as well as provide great control over depth of field for isolating subject matter using selective focus techniques. The speed of this lens is complimented by its optical design, which features a combination of aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements to minimise a range of aberrations for improved sharpness, clarity, and accuracy in rendering and colour. An application of Super EBC coating to the individual elements helps to reduce flare and ghosting for better contrast and colour fidelity, thus benefitting working in strong lighting condition. Complementing the optics, the DC autofocus motor achieves fast, accurate, and smooth focusing performance. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality when using selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques. With the incorporation of 11 distinct seals, the lens is freeze-proof as well as dust and moisture-resistant for working in inclement conditions.
