Designed for working with close-up subjects, the GF 120mm f/4 Macro R LM OIS WR from Fujifilm is a versatile 95mm equivalent short telephoto prime lens for the G-mount GFX camera system. With a maximum magnification of 1:2 and a 45 cm minimum focusing distance, it is well-suited to macro work as well as portraits and still life.
The 14 elements, nine groups optical design incorporates three extra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing throughout the aperture and focusing ranges for improved clarity and colour accuracy. A floating elements system produces consistently sharp imagery, and a linear AF motor provides fast, near-silent focusing performance. Featuring a rounded nine-blade diaphragm, it produces smooth out of focus areas, and a flourine coating has been applied to the front element to repel moisture. This is complimented by a dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant construction for piece of mind when working in changeable conditions.
Optical Image Stabilisation is also included, minimising the appearance of camera shake by up to five stops, for sharper imagery when working with slower shutter speeds. It features a manual aperture ring for intuitive adjustment of exposure settings, and a C (Command) position can also be set for camera-based aperture setting. A focus range limiter switch is also available, to constrain the focusing to a 1.5' to 3' range, a 3' to infinity range, or the full focusing range.
