The Leica APO-Summicron-SL 28mm f/2 ASPH. is a fast wide angle prime that provides excellent optical performance for L-mount full frame mirrorless cameras. The bright f/2 aperture enables working in dimmer conditions while at the same time strikes a balance between speed and overall size and weight. This portable lens 28mm focal length provides sharp imagery from edge to edge without distortion, rendering it well-suited for everyday shooting as well as landscape and architectural photography applications. The lens also features a 24mm minimum focusing distance for shooting close-up subjects and the ability to separate the subject from the background at f/2 without compromising sharpness. A Dual Synchro Drive AF Motor complements the optics by achieving fast and quiet autofocus performance to benefit both stills and video-recording. In addition, application of multi-layer coatings suppress surface reflections, flare, and ghosting for improved contrast and colour fidelity. The lens weather-sealed design as well as water-repellent AquaDura coating support operation in inclement weather. This lens comes supplied with a clip-on lens cap, rear lens cap, lens hood, and a lens bag.
