The ColorEdge CG319X 31.1" 17:9 from EIZO is a 4K IPS LCD Monitor featuring a built-in colour sensor to automate your calibration and ensure the monitor maintains your settings, with ColorNavigator software available as a free download. Select your desired preset or assign values for brightness, white point, and gamma. The small built-in sensor then simply swings onto the screen to work, making it possible to continue using the screen even while it is calibrating. It directly uses the monitors look-up-table and creates an ICC profile within minutes. It reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space, 98% of the DCI-P3 standard, and includes Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Perceptual Quantization (PQ) curves for HDR video editing. Additionally, the display features a 1,500:1 contrast ratio to produce true blacks that are otherwise difficult to display on a typical LCD monitor. When viewing the screen from an angle in a dimly lit room, dark tones typically appear washed out due to the display characteristics of LCD backlights.
The CG Series is equipped with a retardation film which allows tones to retain their depth even when viewed from an angle. This is offered in combination with a Cinema 4K resolution of 4096 x 2160, 10-bit support for 1.07 billion colours, and 24-bit LUT, making it an ideal choice for editing work. The ColorEdge CG319X also features an anti-glare panel, widescreen 17:9 aspect ratio, 149 pixels per inch, and a 9 ms (GtG) response time. In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology ensures the display can be adjusted to suit a variety of needs with a max brightness of 350 cd/m2 and a vertical tilt of -5 to 35°, a swivel of 344°, and a height adjustment of 154mm. It offers two DisplayPort inputs to support 10-bit 4:4:4 50/60p video signals, and two HDMI ports for 10-bit 4:2:2: 50/60p video signals. A USB 3.0 Type-B port and three USB 3.0 Type-A ports offer additional compatibility. Fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity on different parts of the screen are a common trait of LCD monitors. To counteract this, the ColorEdge CG319X is equipped with EIZOs patented Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen. DUE also counterbalances the influences that a fluctuating temperature may have on colour temperature and brightness.
Within just 3 minutes of the time you turn on your monitor the brightness, chromaticity, and tone characteristics will be stabilised and ready to use. The CG319X comes with a shading hood that has been newly designed to attach to the monitor magnetically. This allows the hood to be attached quickly and easily without the use of any additional parts. A versatile stand is also included, allowing for height, tilt and swivel adjustments. The stand also offers a quick release that allows you to easily remove the screen if needed, and a carrying handle on the back of the monitor makes it easy to move.
