The Canon 12x32 IS Image-Stabilised Binoculars are versatile and powerful 12x magnification binoculars that have borrowed on the Lens Shift Image Stabilisation technology from Canons EF lenses. Optics of this magnification or higher are generally prone to magnifying the appearance of handshake, thus interfering with clear viewing. This new Lens Shift Image Stabilisation incorporates a combination of continually adjusting vibration gyro mechanism and microprocessors that minimises the appearance of shaking made by moving the internal lens assembly, negating the use of tripods or other support system for achieving steady images. Additionally, you can choose between the Normal or Powered IS options for the right mode to deliver the best possible performance, depending whether there are mulitple/moving subjects or a single stationary one. Additionally, the new IS system affords a drastically reduced close focus distance to 2 m than earlier models using a different Image Stabilisation (IS) mechanism. The image stabilisation performance is complimented by a series of optical features that further improves overall image quality. Application of Canons antireflection broadband Super Spectra Coating reduces light loss and improve image contrast across the entire visual spectrum while doublet field flattener lens corrects spherical aberration for distortion-free views. Porro prisms with optical paths that provide a rich depth of field enables you to judge distance between objects more accurately as well as deliver a wider field of view than similar roof prism models. Fold-down rubber eyecups enable both eyewear uses and non-eyewear users to comfortably use the binoculars. Requiring two AA battery (supplied) for operating in IS modes, this binoculars operate as a conventional binoculars when not using the IS. They have a redesigned chassis for more comfortable handling and feature a protective rubber armour for a slip-resistant grip. A one-piece ocular Rainguard with cord, case and strap are also supplied.
