The made in England,The Eventer MKII includes a removable, padded insert. This is made from dense, fabric covered 'closed cell' foam and provides impact protection on the front, back, base and sides. Like the bag itself, the insert is a little flexible. Also included are two vertical, padded dividers and two small 'flap' dividers. You can use the vertical dividers to split the bag into columns and the flap dividers to stack gear within those columns. The exact arrangement that is possible for you will depend on the size of your gear. As the insert is removable, you can convert the bag to a casual messenger bag in seconds.
The top-grain leather covering the external base on all sides helps to increase longevity of the bag, as well as creating a luxurious look and feel. Across the back of the bag is a handy extra storage pocket to easily access important documents without needing to open the main compartment. The pocket has a weatherproof zip, to help keep the contents safe and dry.
Also on the back of the bag is a luggage trolley retainer strap - a simple, easy feature that helps you to secure your bag to your suitcase when travelling through busy cities or airports. Sewn into the back of the removable insert is a dedicated padded laptop slip, designed to fit up to a 14" laptop. If you remove the padded insert, you will also be removing the laptop slip.
The main compartment has a dual, weatherproof zip, ensuring protection for the contents of the bag even when the main flap isn't over the bag. The dual zips allow you to access only part of the bag if you don't want to open all of the main compartment. Quickly and easily open and close your bag using the quick release front straps by simply pushing the front straps up and off the clogballs.
Many of our bags use this opening mechanism on the flap to access their main compartment, the Eventer MKII is the only bag that we currently sell that uses this functionality on the front pockets too. Once the leather softens, you should be able to open the QRS straps one-handed and whilst wearing the bag. The buckles allow you to fine tune the 'fit' of the front pockets. You do not need to use the buckles to open the bag.
