Part of the Sigmas Global Vision Sports line, this Sigma 150-600mm f/5 - 6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens is a versatile zoom designed for Leica L-mount full-frame mirrorless systems to achieve a balance between impressive optical performance in everyday as well as challenging conditions. Its impressive reach and high optical performance are complemented by a compact and lightweight design to support handheld shooting when desired. Featuring an updated optical design for improved sharpness and clarity and accurate colour throughout the zoom, this lens has 25 elements in 16 groups which include four F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements and two Extra Low Dispersion (ELD) elements to notably reduce various abberations. In addition, integrated Optical Image Stabilisation compensates for up to four stops of camera shake to help achieve sharper handheld shooting. Two standard OS modes are offered for both handheld shooting and panning situations. For steady shooting atop a tripod or monopod, a heavy-duty TS-121 Tripod Socket with removable foot and 90° click stops is included. The optical attributes are complemented by an updated and redesigned stepping autofocus (AF) motor that drives an AF actuator to achieve quick and accurate autofocus performance. Dual Action zoom supports both zoom ring operation and push/pull zoom capability while a new Zoom Torque Switch permits selection of zoom resistance and enables locking the lens securely to prevent the barrel from being accidentally extended when not in use. Other on-lens control include a Focus Limiter Switch, OS Mode Switch, Custom Switch for custom OS settings, and three customisable AFL buttoons. This durable and lightweight aluminium and Thermally Stable Composite barrel construction is also dust- and splash-resistant, plus an water and oil repellent front coating, for operation in inclement weather. A rounded 9-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing boken quality. This versatile lens comes with front and rear lens caps, lens hood, the aforementioned tripod socket and a soft protective lens case.
