This 37mm Slim UV SH-PMC Filter from Heliopan is primarily designed to eliminate ultraviolet light, avoiding a degradation of image contrast. This is particularly noticeable when photographing outdoor scenes, where a UV filter will work to combat the faded blue or white effect that ultraviolet light can cause. All filters will also offer a degree of protection for the front element of your lens against moisture, dust and scratching. The filter uses Schott glass, to ensure your images are sharp and clear, with true colour and contrast. The SH-PMC multi-coating provides a total of 16 coatings, 8 per side, for significant reflection reduction (below 0.2%) as well as dust and moisture repellence for easier cleaning. The brass mounting ring is built with a slim mount design measuring 5mm-thick, that helps to prevent vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses. To further reduce the chance of vignetting when used with wide angle lenses it does not feature front threads for mounting additional filters or lens caps.
