An update to their classic, the 8x42 Trinovid HD Binocular from Leica uses phase corrected prisms that are coated with highly reflective multi-coatings to increase reflectivity, and anti-reflection multi-coated optics to enhance light transmission through the lenses. Together these coatings provide a high-contrast image with true colour and minimal distortion. This optical performance is coupled with an 8x magnification, wide exit pupil and generous eye relief for an immersive viewing experience.
These impressive optics are housed inside a robust, lightweight body, with a corrosion-resistant magnesium alloy chassis. The body is finished with a black textured rubber coating that offers protection from accidental bumps and provides a slip-resistant grip. This is complimented by nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed optical tubes, making the binocular waterproof, submersible, and fogproof when alternating between extreme temperatures.
The Trinovid comes with tethered objective lens covers that flip down and out of the way when needed, and an ocular rainguard that attaches to the strap. An Adventure Strap system is also included, which is a unique harness system that can be configured multiple ways for easier carrying and handling, while also doubling as a soft carrying bag to protect the binocular when not in use. It is crafted in water and dirt repellent neoprene.
