Porro Prism Standard Binoculars

The 8x40 S is Olympus's Standard Binoculars, which offers an 8x power magnification for observing nature, sport, wildlife and birdwatching. This compact and lightweight binoculars feature large objective lenses that provide bright and clear images even in low light. Furthermore, with a wide field of view, the finding and tracking subjects are optimised. The binoculars deliver high optical performance, thanks to the incorporation of aspherical lens elements for minimising distortions and the coating on its porro-prisms and lenses that help eliminate internal interference and improve brightness and clarity. A relatively short 4m close-focus distance allows observations and tracking of moving subjects with minimal need for movement, thus reducing disturbance of the subjects.

A durable, high quality finish enables operation in varying weather conditions while rubber coated grip provides for a secure hold on these binoculars. To cater to individual eyesight, built-in dioptric correction is available. A conveniently accessible focus wheel makes accurate focusing a breeze while on the move, and fold-down eyecups provide comfortable use with or without eyewear.  A carrying case and neck strap come supplied with these binoculars.
