Gimbal Stabilizer Kit

The DJI RS 2 Pro Combo kits the RS 2 Gimbal Stabilizer with several additional accessories for a more comprehensive workflow. These accessories include the DJI RavenEye Image Transmission System, a focus motor, phone holder, two focus gears, and three HDMI cables. Of note is the RavenEye Image Transmission System, which enables 330' 1080p video transmission from the gimbal with a latency of only 50ms for on set collaboration.

The RS 2 features a payload of up to 4.5kg. The redesigned gimbal is 25% lighter and more compact than the Ronin-S gimbal, thanks to its monocoque carbon fiber axis arms and a shorter grip handle that holds a smaller battery cartridge with a 12-hour runtime. With motors that are 20% more powerful, it can support larger cameras such as, but not limited to, the Blackmagic Pocket 6K, Canon 1D X Mark III, and Sony a7S III.

The utilisation of the DJI Titan stabilisation alogorithm enables the RS 2 to provide improved stabilisation with increased smoothness. For zoom lenses up to 100mm, a built-in SuperSmooth feature is available. The RS 2 also features a 1.4" full-colour LCD touchscreen for adjusting gimbal settings as well as accessing features such as time-lapse and hyperlapse that were previously only accessible via the companion mobile app. Whether through the touchscreen or companion iOS/Andriod Ronin app, many creative features are available to users on top of the standard timelapse and panorama functions: for example, Time Tunnel combines roll motion with hyperlapse to "twist" space and time, Track permits creation of a repeatable camera movement path for a tightly choreographed shot and Forced Mobile directs the gimbal to follow your smartphone's movments. If the RavenEye system is used, a live view of your subjects can be displayed on the touchscreen via the RavenEye's ActiveTrack feature.

The RS 2 employs a dual-layer Manfrotto plus Arca-Swiss camera mounting system with two removable quick release plates. With a single tap, the gimbal will orientate to portrait mode to suit social media purposes. An independent lock for each axis allows you to unlock and balance one axis at a time to efficiently balance your camera, while an additional fine-tune balancing knob permits you to dial in the optimal balance for your camera. For dedicated accessories, the RS 2 has two RSA ports, one on each side of the gimbal, with electrical contacts and a NATO mount each for quick release and attachment of these optional accessories. These optional supported accessories include a focus wheel, a twist-grip dual handle, and a universal mount for efficiently attaching the gimbal to a car, jib, or slider.

The RS 2's battery cartridge is rechargable via a USB Type-C port on the included BG30 handle grip, which can be removed completely from the gimbal when charging the battery. The BG30 grip is compatible with the PD and QC 2.0 charging protocols and an optional 24W charger is recommended for recharging the included battery. The use of 24W fast charging will full charge the battery in about 1.5 hours. Swapping out for a separately available cartridge is also an option for keeping the gimbal powered.

The RS 2 is supplied with a splash-proof carry case that is designed with dedicated compartments for different parts of the gimbal and key accessories. Also included with the RS 2 is a mini-tripod that attaches to a 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom of the grip handle to function as a stand or double up as an extension handle for two handed maneuvering of the gimbal when required. Four DJI R Multi-Camera Control cables, a USB Type-C, a Sony Multi, a micro-USB, and a mini-USB cable, are also included for use. Additionally, a Briefcase Handle and a Lens-Fastening Strap are also included with the gimbal.
