HVL-F28RM Flash
External Flash
Ideal for use with compact mirrorless cameras, the Sony HVL-F28RM is a compact and portable flash with a guide number of 28m at ISO 100, 50mm. With a 2.4 GHz radio transceiver built in, photographers can quickly create portable lighting setups that support P-TTL / ADI (Advance Distance Integration) metering. The flash features full support for Sony's existing radio commanders and receivers, which includes radio control and the ability to work with up to 15 flashes in five groups, so that you have the option of using the flash as a commander or a remote as part of Sony's radio wireless system. This flash can fire continously up to 40 flashes at a rate of 10 flashes per second.
The intelligent connection between the flash and compatible camera bodies means that the light is connected with the cameras' body face detection to determine a light output for achieving natural skin tones. Additionally, with compatible cameras, you can directly operate the flash from the camera's body menu and control compensation, ratio and more from the cameras. Or, manually adjust its power across 25 levels, covering full 1/1 power down to 1/256 power. Slow, high-speed, 1st and 2nd curtain sync are supported when used with cameras with TTL communication.
Physically, the dust- and moisture-resistant HVL-F28RM sports a pocketable form well-suited to the a7-series mirrorless bodies and features a 0 to 120° tilting head for flexible bounce control. Its lockable design prevents unwanted angle changes while working with a preferred angle. Additionally, a durable metal foot improves its mounting stability and metal side frames protects shoe connection. While the flash is designed to cover a 50mm focal length field of view as is, a pull-out wide panel broadens the coverage to a 24mm focal length field of view. Compared to its predecessor, HVL-32M, the flash is tested to show up to 50% higher overheat resistance, rendering it capable for longer and more rapid shooting sessions. A Micro-USB port on the flash can be utilised for firmware updates.
This powerhouse in a small body comes supplied with a carrying pouch, a mini stand, and a connector cap. It is designed for use with most Alpha series cameras, the RX10 series, the RX100 series and the ZV-1.
