M10 Monochrom
Digital Rangerfinder Camera for Black and White Photography
The Leica M10 Monochrom incorporates the most sought-after features of M10-P and combines them with a 40MP monochrom CMOS sensor for the specialised purpose of recording rich and vivid black and white still photographs. With removal of colour filter array from its sensor, this digital rangefinder is capable of achieving greater visual depth and clarity, offers an improved sensitivy to ISO 100,000, and features reduced noise levels that suits working in difficult lighting. Additionally, the omission of an optical-pass filter helps to produce imagery of increased sharpness and higher resolution.
Reminiscent of M film cameras, the M10 Monochrom features a slim body profile with the bonus of a larger, bright-line 0.73x-magnification optical viewfinder with automatic parallax compensation that supports ease of composition and focusing accuracy. A dedicated ISO dial is incorporated for speedy adjustment, even while the camera is turned off. Construction for durability is apparent in the brass top and bottom plates, the magnesium-alloy chassis, as well as the Gorilla Glass cover that guard the rear 3.0" 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD against scratching and light impacts. Rubber seals are employed to provide light-rain- and dust- resistance for working in inclement conditions. The M10 Monochrom features a built-in Wi-Fi module to support wireless sharing of imagery and remote camera control from a linked mobile device via the Leica FOTOS app.
