This limited edition Leica D-Lux 7 "Vans x Ray Barbee" stands out in a delightful design which features the iconic Vans checker board pattern on the chassis and an engraved signature of Ray Barbee, skateboarder, musician, and photographer, on the top side. The specially designed dust bag carries a Ray Barbee quote, "The joy is in capturing the journey" on one side, and the proverbial words of Ernst Leitz II that launched the production of Leica I: "Ich entsheide hiermit: Es wird riskiert" ("I hereby decide: it will be risked", 1924). The dedicated dust bag and an included camera strapped sport a petrol green colour to set off the camera's black and white design.

The Leica D-Lux 7 is a slim compact camera designed to be an ideal walk around option, with a large 17MP Four Thirds MOS sensor, versatile DC Vario-Summilux 3.1x zoom lens, and sleek styling. It offers a sensitivity range up to ISO 25600 along with an 11-fps continuous shooting rate and UHD 4K30p video recording. The sensor's design, with 21.77MP total resolution, also supports working in multiple aspect ratios—4:3, 3:2, 16:9, and 1:1—while maintaining the same field of view.

The DC Vario-Summilux lens offers a 24-75mm equivalent focal length range to cover wide-angle to portrait-length focal lengths to suit working in a variety of shooting situations, along with a bright f/1.7-2.8 design for working with shallow depth of field techniques and in difficult lighting conditions. The lens also features optical image stabilisation to minimise the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld imagery.

Complementing the sensor and lens attributes is a travel-friendly physical design, which incorporates both a 2.76m-dot electronic viewfinder and a 3.0" 1.24m-dot rear touchscreen LCD. There is also built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which work in conjunction with the Leica FOTOS app for seamless wireless sharing as well as remote camera control from a linked iOS or Android device.

This camera comes supplied with a special carrrying strap, a dust bag, battery, special packaging, as well as charger and cables.
