Hardware Calibration IPS LCD Monitor
The ColorEdge CG279X 27" 16:9 from EIZO is a professional 2560 x 1440 IPS LCD Monitor featuring the latest in colour management hardware and software, as well as a wide colour gamut for displaying vibrant images. It includes a built-in colour sensor to automate your calibration and ensure the monitor maintains your settings, with ColorNavigator software available as a free download. The small built-in sensor simply swings onto the screen to work, making it possible to continue using the screen even while it is calibrating.
It reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space, 98% of the DCI-P3 standard, and includes Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Perceptual Quantization (PQ) curves for HDR video editing. Additionally, the display features a 1300:1 contrast ratio to produce true blacks that are otherwise difficult to display on a typical LCD monitor. When viewing the screen from an angle in a dimly lit room, dark tones typically appear washed out due to the display characteristics of LCD backlights. The CG Series is equipped with a retardation film which allows tones to retain their depth even when viewed from an angle.
This is offered in combination with 10-bit simultaneous display from a 16-bit look-up-table (LUT), to show more than one billion colours simultaneously for smooth colour gradations and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colours, making it an ideal choice for editing work. The ColorEdge CG279X also features an anti-glare panel, widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, 109 pixels per inch, and a 13 ms (GtG) response time. In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology ensures the display can be adjusted to suit a variety of needs with wide 178° wide viewing angles, a typical brightness of 350 cd/m2 and a vertical tilt of -5 to 35°, a swivel of 344°, and a height adjustment of 155mm. It offers USB Type-C connectivity for easily connecting to a notebook PC using a single cable, a USB Type-B and two USB Type-A ports as well as DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPort inputs.
Fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity on different parts of the screen are a common trait of LCD monitors. To counteract this, the ColorEdge CG279X is equipped with EIZO's patented Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen. DUE also counterbalances the influences that a fluctuating temperature may have on colour temperature and brightness. Within just 3 minutes of the time you turn on your monitor the brightness, chromaticity, and tone characteristics will be stabilised and ready to use.
The CG279X comes with a shading hood that has been newly designed to attach to the monitor magnetically. This allows the hood to be attached quickly and easily without the use of any additional parts. A versatile stand is also included, allowing for height, tilt and swivel adjustments. The stand also offers a quick release that allows you to easily remove the screen if needed, and a carrying handle on the back of the monitor makes it easy to move.
