Hardware Calibration IPS Monitor
The ColorEdge CG247X 24.1" 16:10 from EIZO is an IPS Monitor featuring a built-in colour sensor to automate your calibration and ensure the monitor maintains your settings. Using either the on-screen display menu or the bundled ColorNavigator software, you can schedule the monitor to self-calibrate at specific times. Even if the monitor is switched off or not connected to a computer, it will stick to its preset schedule and self-calibrate. Along with the built-in sensor, this EIZO monitor also accepts most major colour calibration sensors, and can be correlated to the measurement results of an external calibration sensor. After correlating, the built-in sensor will automatically recalibrate to the settings. This is convenient if the monitor is used in a work environment with other monitors and one measurement device must be used as a standard for all calibration.
It reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space, 98% of the DCI-P3 standard, and features preset modes for EBU, Rec. 709, SMPTE-C, and DCI. These presets can be easily switched via a button on the front of the monitor, ensuring the display is always set to suit the content being viewed on the screen. With the built-in calibration sensor, you can adjust or maintain the brightness setting for each preset. Additionally, the display features a 1,500:1 contrast ratio to produce true blacks that are otherwise difficult to display on a typical LCD monitor. When viewing the screen from an angle in a dimly lit room, dark tones typically appear washed out due to the display characteristics of LCD backlights. The CG Series is equipped with a retardation film which allows tones to retain their depth even when viewed from an angle.
The EIZO CG247X offers a Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio. DisplayPort, DVI-I, and HDMI inputs make it compatible with a variety of computer configurations, and the wide-gamut LED backlight and IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel ensure the display can be adjusted to suit a variety of needs with a max brightness of 400 cd/m² and 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Dual USB 2.0 ports are also available.
Fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity on different parts of the screen are a common trait of LCD monitors. To counteract this, the ColorEdge CG247X is equipped with EIZO's patented Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure a Delta-E difference of 3 or less across the screen. DUE also counterbalances the influences that a fluctuating temperature may have on colour temperature and brightness. Within just 3 minutes of the time you turn on your monitor the brightness, chromaticity, and tone characteristics will be stabilised and ready to use. Additionally, when the monitor is turned off via the power button on its front bezel, it consumes no electricity.
The CG247X comes with a shading hood that has been newly designed to attach to the monitor magnetically. This allows the hood to be attached quickly and easily without the use of any additional parts. A versatile stand is also included, allowing for height, tilt and swivel adjustments as well as portrait display.
