Mid-range Zoom Lens

The Sony Vario-Tessar T* E 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens is a mid-range zoom lens offering a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 24-105mm, to cover wide-angle to short telephoto perspectives. A constant f/4 maximum aperture ensures consistent performance throughout the zoom range and makes this lens well-suited to working in low-light conditions. This is complimented by Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation to minimise the appearance of camera shake by up to four shutter speed stops, particularly beneficial when working in dim lighting and with greater zoom magnifications.

The optical design uses four aspherical elements to control chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range, and contributes to a compact overall form-factor. A Carl Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating has also been applied to the lens elements to minimise lens flare and ghosting while providing enhanced contrast, clarity, and colour. The lens is finished with a durable metal lens barrel.
