The Leica 24-70mm f/2.8 Vario-Elmarit-SL ASPH is a wide-angle to portrait length zoom lens designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. The versatile focal length range is complemented by the marked sharpness and clarity across all f-stops and focus distances of the lens, thanks to the incorporation of three aspherical elements that reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations. The moderately bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is beneficial for working in a variety of lighting conditions as well as offers greater control when working with shallow depth of field techniques. A quiet and precise autofocus motor suits both stills and video applications. The robust metal construction of the lens is compact and lightweight as the OIS is omitted.
