The Sony 16mm f/2.8 E is a lightweight and compact pancake wide-angle lens that provides a 24mm equivalent focal length for your APS-C format E-mount camera. Ideal for landscapes and working in tight spaces, its fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 complements with supporting working in dimmer lighting condition and offering greater depth of field control. The optics includes an aspherical element to reduce astimgatism, field curvature, coma and other monochromatic abberation for improved image quality. The lens is driven by a fast and silent motor for autofocus that benefits both stills and video applications. An internal focus design further contributes to the speed of the autofocus perfomance as well as a minimum focus distnce of 24cm for those close-up shots. When employing selective focus techniques, the lens's seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing boken quality.
