Ultra-wide Prime for Sony E-Mount

The Venus Optics Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL for Sony E is a unique ultra-wide prime with rectilinear rendering that is designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Its impressively wide 126° angle of view pairs with a rectilinear design to suit landscape and architectural applications as it renders subjects with minimal distortions. Optically, its advanced design employs two aspherical elements, one ultra-high refractive index glass element, and three extra-low dispersion elements to minimise a range of aberrations and distortions, thus providing for a high quality images that are sharp, clear and accurately rendered.

The lens features a manual focus design with an integrated focusing tab to enable inituitive handling. It also enables working with subjects as close up as 19cm. A built-in peta-shaped lens hood keeps out straylight while offering some protection to the front element. In addition, its five-blade diaphragm produces a distinct 10-point sun stars and spectacular highlights when stopped-down and photographing point light sources.
