Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Body

The Panasonic Lumix S5 is a lightweight and portable full frame mirrorless camera with well-rounded capabilities for video and photo applications. Designed with a full-frame 24.2MP CMOS sensor and an updated Venus Engine, this sensor and processor combination enables a versatile native ISO 100-51200 sensitivity range that is expandable to ISO 50-204800, rendering suitable for working in a variety of lighting conditions. The S5 also features up to full resolution 7 fps continuous shooting with AF-S for with fast moving subjects and an impressive 60 fps continuous shooting when using 6K or 4K Photo Mode. For video, S5 features full-frame UHD 4K30 10-bit internal recording as well as UHD 4K60 10-bit recording when using an APS-C sensor area, Dual Native ISO for a balanced combination of low noise and high sensitivity, and a wide 14+ stop dynamic range that supports grading. Additionally, S5 also features a High Dynamic Range mode and Hybrid Log Gamma for recording both the shadow and highlight regions of a scene in greater detail, while additional picture styles such as Cinelike V2 and Cinelike D2 provide more gradable images.

Clear and sharp imagery are well supported by S5's 225 AF-area DFD (Depth-From-Defocus) autofocus technology, which can calculate distance to subject and make adjustments to the focusing position in as little as 0.08 seconds, and the fast communication between sensor and lens at rates up to 480 fps.  This contrast-detection type focus method benefits both stills and video recording modes. It supports subject tracking application, via Advanced AI Technology, to intelligently lock-onto moving subjects and maintain precise focus, as well as provides detection capabilities that enable prioritising focus on specific areas of the subjects when shooting portraits. In low light, a Low Light AF helps achieve accurate AF performance down to -6 EV. Complementing the autofocus system's focusing performance, a 5-axis sensor-shift image stabllisation minimise the appearance of camera shake up to 5 stops. This Dual I.S. 2 can even combine with compatible Lumix lenses' O.I.S to compensate for up to approximately 6.5 stops of camera shake, rendering your imagery even sharper and clearer when photographing handheld. Ideal for static subjects and when working on a tripod, the High Resolution mode enabled by the sensor-shift technology can capture and compile eight separate exposure to create a single 96MP raw or JPEG file for a more highly detailed and colour accurate image.

The S5 houses the elements from the larger S1-series of cameras in a smaller footprint and lighter weight profile for improved portability form factor. The S5's physical design incorporates a 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with a clear 0.74x magnification and a free-angle 3.0" 1.84m-dot touchscreen LCD for live shooting from high, low, and front-facing angles, playback and intuitive menu navigation. Its durable and splash and dust-resistant construction accomodates use in more trying conditions and environments. For greater flexibility in terms of image storage, the S5 features Dual SD memory slots - one UHS-II compatible and one UHS-I compatible - to permit duplicate saving to both cards, as well as raw and JPEG files segregation, and provide greater storage space with overflow recording. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enables wireless image transfer and remote shooting control via the Lumix Sync app for iOS and Android. The S5 body features the L-Mount and can accept any L-Mount lenses from Leica Camera, Sigma and Panasonic, thus availing to it a broad range of optics.

The S5 camera body comes supplied with the lithium-ion battery, battery charger, AC adapter, USB Type C to USB Type A cable, shoulder strap, body cap, hot shoe cover, and a battery grip.
