The Voigtlander Bessa-R2M Rangefinder Camera is an update to the Bessa R2A.  While the R2A featured an electronic shutter, making it inoperable without batteries, the R2M has a mechanical shutter release.  Though metering will not function without batteries, the mechanical shutter makes the R2M useable.  Features a bright viewfinder, quiet shutter and LED metering system.  Leica M-type lensmount for lenses from Leica, Minolta and Konica also works with Canon, Leica and Voigtlander 39mm screwmount lenses (with adapter).  The Bessa rangefinder cameras are notable for having a smaller distance between the film and lens mount than SLRs, which makes for sharper images.
