The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 PRO is a zoom lens with an equivalent focal length range of 24-90mm for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. The combination of its bright design, which is characterised by a f/4 constant maximum aperture, and a highly compact form renders this a suitable lens for daily use in a variety of lighting conditions.

Optically, the lens integrates a myriad of specialised elements that contributes to overall image sharpness, clarity, and colour accuracy throughout the zoom range: two aspherical elements, one DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) element, two ED (extra-low dispersion) elements, one Super HR (high refractive index) elements, and two HR elements. Additionally, the individual elements are applied with a ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating to minimise lens flare and ghosting, which improves contrast and colour fidelity when working in harsh and backlit conditions.

A Movie and Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system complements the optics with fast, smooth , and silent performance, benefitting both photo and video applications. A maximum 1:2 magnification pairs with a minimum focus distance of 12cm at the wide end and 23cm at the tele end to suit working with close-up subjects throughout the zoom range. Dust-, freeze-, and drip-proof, this weather-sealed lens performs even in inclement and harsh conditions.
