The Tamron TAP-in Console for Nikon F Lenses permits fine-tuning the performance and updating the firmware of select Nikon F-mount Tamron lenses. It is used in conjuction with the TAP-in Utility software for Mac and Windows and connects to the lenses at the bayonet mount. This simple attachment provides more control over the way SP-series lenses function by allowing customisation over focus adjustment, focus distance limiter, VC adjustment, and full-time manual focus override settings. In addition, lens firmware can be updated via accessing a dedicated website while the console is attached to the lens.
