Silica Gel Desiccant

The HPRC Dry Keeper Silica Gel Desiccant is designed to help you protect your gear from humidity. Its specially designed container holds 50g of Silica Gel, which is composed of naturally occuring mineral silicon dioxide that is purified and processed into a beaded form. When the silica gel beads are dry, they are orange in colour; when they become saturate with moisture to about 15 to 20% in weight, the beads turn into a light blue colour. The Dry Keeper's non-toxic, pollution-free silica gel has high-dehydrating properties to protect your items from mildew, deterioration and damages brought about by high humidity. The orange Silica gel will turn blue to indicate its complete exhaustion. It can be regenerated by heating in the oven for 1-2 hours at 100°C.
