Canon
IXUS 210 IS
The IXUS 210 is the flagship of the current IXUS range and boasts
quite a few headline features.
IXUS cameras have always been synonymous with style and compact
design, and in spite of being the big daddy of the lot, this one
doesn't disappoint. It has clean, sharp defining lines and a
neatly-integrated flash. Most notably, though, the back face is
made up entirely of the massive 3.5-inch touchscreen. The only
buttons are a power switch, mode toggle, trigger and integrated
zoom rocker. Canon has successfully integrated all remaining
functions into a user-friendly icon-based interface on the touch
screen.
The screen allows the IXUS 210 IS to incorporate the latest version
of Canon's Touch Auto Focus which allows you to choose your subject
by tapping the screen. Subject Tracking then makes sure things stay
in focus.
The lens is a 24mm wide-angle, so you can capture more without
taking a thousand steps back, and you can make use of the 5x
optical zoom if you simply can't get close enough. It borrows a lot
of features from the big boys as well, such as the DiG!C 4
processor, HD video capabilities, massive 14.1-megapixel images and
SDXC memory card compatibility - for which it is one of the first
compacts.
These and a host of other features make the IXUS 210 IS one of the
best compact cameras on the market today!
